Step 1: Open CookieConsent from the left sidebar.
Step 2: Select a Consent Configuration from the list.
Step 3: Click the Configuration tab at the top.
Step 4: Open Legal Specifications to access GDPR settings.
Step 1: Choose when the CMP should be displayed:
Show CMP to all users – Displays the CMP globally (default).
Show CMP to EU users only – Displays the CMP only to users in the EU.
Do not show CMP – Disables the CMP for this configuration.
Use EU only if you target EU residents.
Use all users if you apply global privacy compliance.
Step 1: Enable this option to redisplay the CMP after a set period.
This requires users to review their consent again and helps maintain GDPR compliance.
Typical intervals are every 6 or 12 months, depending on company policy.
Step 1: Enable category-based consent to allow users to consent by category
(e.g. Analytics, Marketing, Functional).
This provides more transparent consent handling and hides individual service toggles.
Disable this option if service-level consent is required by your legal team.
Step 1: Enable this to allow users to close the CMP without accepting.
Closing the CMP behaves the same as Deny All under EU compliance rules.
Step 2: Choose a close method:
Close link (X)
Close icon
This option is required in some EU countries based on local DPA recommendations.
Step 1: Choose how much DPS information to display:
All DPS details (recommended) – Shows full service details and meets strict legal requirements.
Limited DPS details – Shows reduced information but remains compliant.
Your Data Protection Officer (DPO) should determine which option to use.
