How to Set Up and Manage a Configuration in CookieConsent

A. Access the Setup Page

Step 1: Open CookieConsent from the sidebar.

Step 2: Select a Company / Consent Group from the list.

Step 3: Choose a Configuration within the company.

Step 4: Click the Configuration tab in the top navigation.

You will automatically land on the Setup page.

B. Set a Default Language

Step 1: Under Language Settings, view the currently active language.

Step 2: Click Add Language to add more languages.


Step 3: Select one or more languages
(e.g. English, Dansk, Français, Deutsch, Español, Italiano, Norsk, Svenska).

Step 4: Choose one language as Default.

The default language is shown first when the CMP loads.

C. Modify Configuration Settings


Step 1: Select a Framework
Choose the legal framework that applies to your website:

  • GDPR

  • TCF 2.2

  • CCPA

  • CPRA

  • CPA

  • CTDPA

  • UCPA

  • VCDPA

This ensures compliance with regional privacy laws.

Step 2: Enter a Configuration Name
Use a clear and descriptive name, for example:

  • AWORK A/S Sites

  • Client Website – GDPR Setup

  • Marketing Domain – TCF Mode

Step 3: Set the Data Controller
Enter the legal entity responsible for data processing
(e.g. Awork A/S, Company XYZ Ltd.).

This name appears in consent banners and privacy information.

Step 4: Add Domain(s)
Enter one or more domains separated by spaces.

Step 5: Click Update Configuration to save your changes.
