Step 1: Open CookieConsent from the sidebar.
Step 2: Select an existing Consent Configuration.
Step 3: Click the Configuration tab at the top.
Step 4: Open the CMP Settings sub-tab.
Step 1: Enable Cross-Domain Consent Sharing to share user consent across subdomains.
When enabled, consent given on one subdomain applies to all connected subdomains under the same Configuration ID.
This prevents users from seeing the consent banner multiple times.
Use this option for multi-domain or subdomain websites.
All domains must use the same CMP Configuration ID.
Step 1: Enable Google Consent Mode (v2) to integrate CMP with Google services.
When enabled, Google tags automatically adapt based on the user’s consent.
This controls:
Google Analytics
Google Ads
Conversion tracking
Remarketing
Data storage permissions
Make sure Google Consent Mode is implemented before any Google scripts and that default consent states are correctly set.
Step 1: Enable Bot Detection to prevent the CMP from appearing to search engine bots.
This improves crawl quality, protects analytics data, and avoids SEO issues.
When enabled, CMP is hidden from bots and overall performance improves.
